The project demonstrates our expertise in working within a live environment, ensuring the minimal disturbance to both the wetland birds and paying visitors at one of the busiest tourist attractions in the UK. Furthermore, the site is located adjacent to a farm and we have worked closely with the neighbouring landowners to ensuring uninterrupted access during their critical harvest season.

Our capabilities in groundworks were showcased throughout the project, starting with initial clearance of the site followed by piling installation in the soft wetland ground. We then formed a lagoon, stream and a deep tank with specialist pump and filtration equipment and a viewing window for visitors to see ducks as they dive below the surface.

An amphitheatre was constructed using hand filled gabion baskets to form steps and a seating area for visitors. Using in-house joinery and manufacturing we built and installed the theatre and walk-through aviary to the client’s specific requirements along with considerable hard and soft landscaping works, dressing and staging for the final finished appearance of the whole area.
